We are looking for a Voice Engineer for Service Numbers. The Voice Engineer operates in the heart of our services and is engaged in one of the finest and most important services of KPN: service numbers. Socially relevant customers such as police, fire service and network management make use of Service Numbers. Our own helpdesk number runs on this platform too.

Your role as Voice Engineer Service Numbers

As a Voice Engineer you are of inestimable value to the Service Numbers team. Socially relevant customers make use of our platform, so we always have to be ready to guarantee 100% accessibility for everyone. We achieve this by keeping the platform as healthy and secure as possible. Consequently, we are always working on our products and are able to respond to new customer wishes and developments.

As Voice Engineer for Service Numbers you are responsible for:

• Proactively tackling platform tickets, checking alerts, and monitoring and where necessary analyzing them (investigating what is going on, what customer has a complaint, how we can solve it and where possible automate it). You also direct suppliers where needed.
• Ensuring that our crucial services, such as service numbers, Telios IVR and Sonus SBC, work optimally. With your expertise in SIP protocols, voice technology and focus on security you safeguard the 100% accessibility of our platform.
• Implementing software updates on the basis of existing and new technologies and in line with procedures, instructions and KSP with the aim of adding value to the business and to realize the sprint goals set down in the sprint planning.
• In the event of an outage or malfunctions, responding by taking part directly or indirectly in the technical sessions and contributing to find a solution to the service disruption for the customer (that is more important than solving the problem itself). Together with the team you allocate the workload and aftercare.
• Providing advice and sharing knowledge inside and outside your team. On that topic you maintain contact partners, administrators and specialists.

The Service Number team is part of a larger voice team that comes under the Communication Services tribe of TDO Network. You and two fellow voice engineers form a small autonomous team in which openness, humor and quality go hand in hand. We work in accordance with DevOps, with an emphasis on innovation, since Ops is being automated as much as possible. On some days we carry out our work from home and on at least Monday and Thursday we work from our office in Zoetermeer.

We are looking for a Voice Engineer with experience in project coordination who is also able to interact easily with external parties. In everything you do, you take security interests into account. In this position you take part in on-call services.

Along with a strong sense of responsibility and a proactive attitude, you have:

• An education at least at higher vocational level and an affinity for technology.
• 3-5 years' experience with scripting languages (Python and Bash), Linux (RedHat, Debian and/or other distributions) and automation (Ansible).
• Knowledge of Oracle DB, Mongo DB, cloud, virtualization, and CI/CD processes.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities so as to be able to deal with incidents and problems.

• A gross monthly salary of at least €3800 and up to €5200 depending on your work experience and based on 37 hours.
• Flextime up to 40 hours per week, for which you get up to 8.5% extra gross salary.
• A supplement of 10.5% of your gross monthly salary (including 8% vacation allowance).
• A variable bonus scheme of 5% in line with scale 10.
• Every year an individual and collective increase under our CAO [collective labor agreement].

• Excellent pension conditions: a total contribution of 23% of your pensionable salary of which KPN contributes 16% and you contribute 7%.
