As Manager Packet Switched Core at KPN, together with the domain manager, you are responsible for KPN's mobile core data network. This network, which handles daily voice and data traffic for more than 12 million mobile customers, plays a crucial role in the digitization of the Netherlands.

You will lead passionate teams of professionals and experts, challenging, motivating and supporting them. As a manager at KPN, you are not only an expert in telecom networks, but also an inspiring leader who knows how to get the best out of people.

Your role as Team Lead Packet Switched Core

In this role, together with the Domain Manager, you will lead the professional execution of work and processes within the Packet Switched Core Domain. You both account for about 25 FTEs. You translate departmental goals into tactical and operational plans, optimizing organisational, system and process design. You monitor service quality, identify innovation opportunities and participate in strategic projects such as automation.

• You ensure space and support to achieve departmental goals through strong stakeholder management & provision of management information.

• You identify opportunities for innovation and renewal and anticipate developments in the field and participate in projects with strategic impact.

• You prioritize activities within the teams in line with the strategy, so that committed deliverables are delivered on time and with quality.

• You also ensure a future-proof workforce through regular discussions with employees on content and personal development, thus safeguarding knowledge and expertise within the domain.

To be successful in this role, you have excellent communication skills, are decisive and empathetic. You have an affinity for telecom networks and like to stay abreast of external developments in the market. You have experience with Agile/DevOps and Project-based working, and you are able to deal with changes in technology and stakeholder landscape.

To do this successfully, you will have at least:

• Experience as a line manager in a technical environment

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Experience in building & managing telecom networks and mobile network technology

• Decision-making skills and the ability to get the best out of people

• Experience with Agile/DevOps and Project-based working is a plus

• A gross monthly salary of minimum € 5.000,- and maximum € 7.000,- depending on your work experience based on 37 hours
• Optional up to 40 hours per week possible, adding up to 8.5% gross salary
• A bonus of 10.5% of your gross monthly salary (including 8% holiday allowance)
• A variable bonus of 9% belonging to scale 12
• An annual individual and collective raise in accordance with our CLA
