Quality Assurance Manager (Zoetermeer - fulltime)

This role is part of our Specialized Nutrition factory located in Zoetermeer. In this factory (with over 500 Danoners) we produce specialized liquid medical nutrition contributing to the well-being of vulnerable target groups (infants, elderly and sick) in over 55 countries.

About the Job
In this job you are responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and continuously improve quality standards and specifications of processes, equipment, packaging and raw materials to sustainably achieve consistent quality and food safety.
Under your responsibility is the department Quality Assurance which consist of 6 team members and you will report to the Quality & Food Safety Director.

Your main responsibilities:
• Develop and implement food safety and quality requirements for processes, equipment, packaging and raw materials& approve new / adapted protocols prepared by the QA team;
• Co-deliver and drive supply point quality roadmap in accordance with the business needs to continuously improve quality performance in all areas;
• Develop, standardize and approve validation methods for processes, equipment, packaging and raw materials, ensuring consistent specified quality and uncompromising food safety;
• Management of working recipes, including product surveillance for label compliance and contaminants;
• Translate and implement international and/or company standard to local standards;
• Take final decision on actions and release if results of execution of standard protocols are inconclusive or not available;
• Take the lead in root cause investigation in case of process/material deviations and ensure appropriate preventive and corrective measures are taken;
• Lead or participate in local or SN divisional projects and initiatives;
• Manage and develop the Quality Assurance team.

You are part of the Quality Leadership Team and you ensure that amidst the day-to-day hecticness of a large factory, your team has the time, space and skills to do their job in a meaningful way. You enable your team to prioritize and excel while keeping the needs of a wide variety of stakeholders in mind.
Furthermore you have the following experiences;
• A Master or Bachelor degree in Food Technology, Process Engineering or a similar field;
• 5 years of experience in Quality, Food Manufacturing function (QS, QA, QC, R&D);
• Strong team management skills;
• Knowledge of and experience with Food Safety and Quality Management systems (HACCP, ISO, FSSC, GMP);
• Technical (equipment) knowledge and affinity with regards to Food processing (UHT, EM, dissolving, packaging);

• Internal and external audit experience is advantageous;

• Fluent in English is a must.
