The Corporate Affairs team is responsible for public affairs , corporate communications and PR and holds a key role in crisis communications . The objective of the role is to ensure a positive and transparent relationship with the outside world and driving Danone's sustainability strategy at a local level, based on the Danone Impact Journey.

We are offering you a broad role where your main objectives will be to provide support to our brands (such as Nutrilon, Alpro and Danone), our two factories and internal teams. You will be a true business partner working closely together with the business teams. As part of your role you will:

• Be based in the Netherlands with occasional travel to other European cities.
• Report to the Corporate Affairs Manager who is also contributing to the corporate identity of Danone in the Netherlands.
• Work closely with the External & Corporate Affairs Managers in other European markets.
• Together with the Corporate Affairs Manager Danone, and colleagues across the business, you will actively contribute to the business performance, relevance and visibility of Danone in the Netherlands.

In this role, you will focus on Public Affairs:

• Monitor relevant political, policy and societal developments and actively map relevant stakeholders
• Develop relevant messaging contributing to local relevant themes
• Support and further develop relationship management with external stakeholders
• Represent Danone in trade association meetings, other meetings and events
• Take initiative to support the credibility of Danone, Nutricia and Alpro in the Netherlands
• Support the corporate and commercial brands in Danone's sustainability commitments: the Danone Impact Journey
• Actively develop and communicate sustainability opportunities for Danone in the Netherlands
• Support sustainability-related reporting and storytelling

You can demonstrate experience in delivering complex projects and in engaging and building relationships with internal and external contacts. You manage explaining complex developments promptly and clearly, helping colleagues understand risks and opportunities . You are a self-starter, quick learner and collaborative. You're flexible and able to adapt yourself in changing environments. And of course you are enthusiastic about Danone and recognize your own values in Danone .

You'll also have the following background:

• You are native/fluent in Dutch as a must and you have good command of English;
• You have minimum 3 years of experience in Public Affairs either in a similar environment or government body
• You have a strong affinity with sustainability;
• Relevant Masters degree
