Vacature Engineer for Protection, Automation & Control - EU pasport holder only

The business is growing, as well as the PAC team! We are looking for a new team member, a Protection Automation & Control Engineer with a good sense of humour. Someone who is able to enforce our engineering and commissioning team on energy & substation automation and distribution & transmission grid protection with knowledge and experience. The Protection Automation & Control Engineer will work on the engineering, realization, and commissioning phase within the project team.

Within our projects, the Protection Automation & Control Engineer will discuss technical issues with sales and other project engineers. The engineer will report to the project manager considering progress and technical commitment with the customers. Together with the team, the engineer will provide technical documents and set up the hardware for configuration and technical tests. During the factory acceptance test (FAT) you will guide the customer through the systems and answer their questions in close collaboration with the project manager. During the commissioning period, you will be the responsible engineer on site, taking care of the commissioning issues and successful site acceptance tests (SAT). Doing stand-by services is also part of the job but paid additional.

Requirements

• An electrical engineering study with extensive work experience and a bachelor work level.
• Excellent knowledge of the Dutch and/or English language, able to write on a professional scientific level. The customer reports and documentation are provided in Dutch or English.
• Living in the Randstad area
• Ability to travel internationally
• Communication protocols like IEC 101, 104, 61850, Profinet, MOD-bus are mainly used and network topologies with fiber optic or CAT cabling with for example RSTP will be applied.
• Relevant IT knowledge is a must, with detailed configuration know how of SCADA systems, especially SICAM PAS and SCC.
• A valid EU-driver’s licence.
• Experience with energy techniques.

Nice to have too:

• Knowledge of Cybersecurity.
• STIPEL Certification on WV, VCA VL and NEN 3140/3840.
• Familiar with typical Siemens products and solutions like: SIPROTEC, SICAM, Ruggedcom, SCALANCE and Spectrum Power 5, and all their configuration and test tools. For example, DIGSI 4 & 5, Toolbox II, Device Manager, SICAM PTS, OMICRON test universe.

• Salary: €3000 – €3750 p.m. based on full time. (excl. additional like travel allowances)
• Hours: 40 hour p.w. 
• Location: Zoetermeer
• Start date: flexible, but March 2024 at most
• Contract: 1 year via Yacht, after that extension or a perm contract with the company is possible
