With over 250 cultivation experts, is the knowledge company for entrepreneurs in all vegetable sectors. The research activities for greenhouse horticulture and Indoor Farming are carried out at the Improvement Centre. Besides an enthusiastic team of researchers and greenhouse employees, we have a modern research facility consisting of 25 greenhouse departments (varying between 150 and 1,000 m2) and 4 Indoor Farming facilities. Our independent research is practice-oriented and aims at grower application. To achieve this, we work with the latest techniques and focus on the application of digitalisation. Due to the departure of one of the cultivation managers, we are looking for a new colleague.

As crop manager, you use your knowledge and skills to make innovations applicable and realise project goals. With colleagues, you bear 24/7 responsibility for the smooth running of the crop, in which you work closely with your colleague crop manager. Your focus is on climate control, watering, fertilisation and crop protection and you work with a wide range of crops, basically everything you can grow in a greenhouse or with indoor farming. The intensive cooperation with growers, advisers and researchers ensures that you learn quickly within this diversity of crops. Digitalisation is becoming increasingly important within the crops, so the challenge is to take advantage of developments in the field of digitalisation.

You bring with you

• At least HBO education (cultivation-related)
• Able to work independently and in a team, motivated and eager to learn
• Good communication and social skills
• Knowledge of greenhouse crops and their cultivation
• Relevant work experience, in which knowledge of climate control is an advantage
• A good command of the Dutch and English languages
