Your role as Automation Solution Designer

As an Automation Designer in the assurance domain, your primary responsibility is to shape innovative solutions within the network domain. The scope of this role extends beyond the Network Services unit and centers on delivering automation solutions for the Always On Assurance program. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including internal stakeholders, process analysts, data managers, and project managers.

You are responsible for:

• Developing use cases: collaborate actively with the multidisciplinary team within the program to identify, conceptualize, and transform use cases into technologically feasible solutions.
• Technological responsibility: take ownership of the technological aspects of the use cases, bridging the gap between business needs and practical IT solutions.
• Functional designs: demonstrate proficiency as an Automation Designer in creating functional designs that serve as the foundation for further implementation by the project management team.
• Process insight and architectural Impact: deep dive into business processes to comprehend their implications on architecture. This understanding empowers you to design sustainable, technologically advanced solutions.
• Collaboration and knowledge sharing: allocate 40% of your time to internal activities within the automation team, focusing on knowledge sharing, discussing use cases, and exploring opportunities for further applications of automation. Additionally, spend 60% of your time engaged in the broader program, collaborating with the architecture team to foster synergy and drive the development of innovative solutions.

You work at the Assurance department in the Network Services unit. Within the unit you work closely with various specialists such as architects, network/IT engineers and project managers who contribute to automation. Due to the variety of nationalities the main language is English. There is an open culture where we encourage everyone to be themselves and voice their opinions.

With your strong communication skills in both Dutch and English you manage your stakeholders easily and get teams onboard on the design plans.

• Extensive experience within technology (networks or IT) in a position as designer, solution architect, chain architect or process/chain manager.
• Experience with complex, versatile innovations within a chain of applications and associated design methods, preferably in the Assurance process or RMO/SRMO environment.
• Knowledge of networks, automation tools and frameworks, and software development.
• Experience with use case driven work and with reporting on progress.

• A gross monthly salary ranging from a minimum of €4,200 to a maximum of €6,073, depending on your work experience, based on 37 hours.
• Flextime up to 40 hours per week, for which you get up to 8.5% extra gross salary.
• A supplement of 10.5% of your gross monthly salary (including 8% vacation allowance).
• A variable bonus scheme of 7%, corresponding to scale 11.
• Every year an individual and collective increase under our CAO [collective labor agreement].

• A commuting allowance: either our bike allowance of €0.40 per kilometer, or €0.23 per kilometer if you use your own car, or full reimbursement of 2nd class travel on public transport. Additionally, you get €10 per month internet allowance and a homeworking allowance of €2.15 per day.
• Excellent pension conditions: a total contribution of 23% of your pensionable salary, with KPN contributing 16% and you contributing 7%.
